Gospel music is “good news” music. In its purest form, gospel music tells the greatest story, the good news of Jesus. I can’t tell you what a pleasure it is to recommend to you the gospel music of Jeremy Pope. And while I’m delighted to recommend his music, I’m even more pleased to recommend his life. Jeremy doesn’t just sing the gospel songs; he lives the gospel message.
It’s been my joy to be a pastor and friend to Jeremy, Kelly, and Thomas. Together, we have stood on some mountains and walked through some valleys. And through it all, God has been faithful. More than anyone else in the whole world, our gracious God understands all the ups and downs of life and everything in between. And He uses them to make us who we are.
I believe your faith will be challenged and encouraged by this musical offering. As a good potter molds the clay, God is conforming us to the image of His Son (Romans 8:28-29). Jesus reminded his followers not to be anxious about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34), so when you face difficulties of your own, I pray you’ll find comfort in the words of Jesus and courage in the lyrics Jeremy sings.
